Our Story – The Journey Behind CarpetRides

CarpetRides began with a simple discovery that turned into a lifelong passion.

During a family trip to Turkey in the 1980s, we came across small, hand-knotted Oriental rugs — beautifully crafted pieces that immediately caught our attention. We brought a few back home to New England, not knowing they would spark something much bigger.

That winter, our mother decided to place these rugs inside her car. What followed surprised us all — not only did they look stunning, but they also held up incredibly well through snow, daily use, and time.

Friends and family quickly noticed. What started as a personal touch became something everyone wanted — unique, elegant, and unlike anything else available.

That’s how CarpetRides was born.
